Wellspring + OceanFirst logos

Wellspring Center for Prevention is pleased to announce that we have joined OceanFirst Bank’s CommUNITYFirst Program, giving OceanFirst customers a simple way to support our mission at no additional cost.

Through the program, customers can link a new or existing eligible OceanFirst personal or business account to Wellspring. Once an account is linked, OceanFirst makes quarterly donations to Wellspring based on the balances maintained across participating accounts.

There is no fee to participate, no money is withdrawn from your account, and your access to your funds is not affected. Wellspring also does not receive your name, account balance, or other personal banking information.

How the CommUNITYFirst Program Works

Participating is simple:

  1. Open a new eligible OceanFirst account or use an eligible account you already have.
  2. Ask OceanFirst to link the account to Wellspring Center for Prevention through the CommUNITYFirst Program.
  3. OceanFirst calculates its quarterly contribution based on the combined balances of accounts linked to Wellspring.
  4. Wellspring receives the donation directly from OceanFirst.

The more eligible accounts connected to Wellspring, the greater the potential support for our programs and services.

If you already bank with OceanFirst, linking your account offers an easy way to make your existing banking relationship benefit the community. If you are considering opening a new account, you may also choose to connect that account to Wellspring when enrolling.

Your Participation Supports Wellspring’s Mission

Wellspring Center for Prevention is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities through prevention, education, early intervention, and support services.

Funding from grants and contracts makes much of this work possible, but donations and community partnerships help Wellspring strengthen existing services, respond to emerging needs, and create new opportunities for the people and communities we serve.

Support generated through the CommUNITYFirst Program can help sustain work across several important areas.

Prevention Education

Wellspring’s evidence-based prevention education programs help young people develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to make healthy choices, manage emotions, resist peer pressure, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships.

Programs are available for students from preschool through high school and include age-appropriate classroom lessons, interactive activities, family programming, and opportunities for leadership and personal growth.

Rather than simply warning students about risky behavior, these programs help them build resilience and strengthen the decision-making skills they can use throughout their lives.

School-Based Clinical Services

Wellspring brings mental health and supportive services directly into schools, helping reduce barriers that can prevent students from receiving care.

Our school-based clinical programs offer individualized counseling, supportive groups, crisis intervention, case management, educational enrichment, leadership development, and healthy recreational opportunities. Staff members collaborate with students, families, educators, and school support teams to create a coordinated and welcoming network of care.

During the 2025–2026 school year alone, Wellspring’s school-based clinical programs delivered more than 3,500 individual counseling sessions and provided hundreds of crisis interventions, group experiences, and other forms of student support.

Programs for Adults, Families, and Communities

Wellspring’s work extends beyond the classroom. Our community programs provide education and support for parents, caregivers, adults, and older adults across the lifespan.

These programs address subjects such as healthy aging, medication safety, chronic disease self-management, family communication, substance misuse prevention, and non-opioid approaches to managing chronic pain.

Programs such as the Wellness Initiative for Senior Education, Strengthening Families, HealthEASE, and C.H.A.M.P.S. give participants practical information and tools that can support healthier decisions, stronger families, and greater independence.

Turn Everyday Banking Into Community Support

Whether you link an account you already have or choose Wellspring when opening a new eligible OceanFirst account, your participation can help strengthen prevention, mental health, and wellness services throughout the communities we serve.

There is no cost to participate, and your banking information remains private.
