Description: Starting from a foundation of psychoeducational, this class will cover PTSD and SUDS diagnosis, the neurobiology of trauma and addiction, different types of trauma, and trauma-informed competencies. Going beyond just learning, participants will be asked to share their lessons about what has and has not worked including how their work has affected them. The use of somatic approaches and internal family systems will be covered in the second half. Time will be allotted to review at least 3 specific interventions for either groups or individuals.
