Wellspring is committed to implementing evidenced-based programs, providing effective education, helping to support comprehensive environmental strategies, and promoting the health and wellness of individuals and communities. We believe that effective alcohol and other drug abuse prevention is everyone's responsibility - adolescents, schools, parents and communities. This is why our programs are designed for a variety of audiences and are delivered daily to organizations and groups throughout Middlesex County. Our community-based programs include:

  • Strengthening Families - Program provides family skills training designed to enhance school success and reduce substance use and aggression among youth.
  • Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE): Designed to help older adults celebrate healthy aging, make healthy lifestyle choices and avoid substance abuse.
  • Senior Jopardy - Wellspring provides presentations in a Jeopardy game format—just like the game show! The program features six individual one-hour education programs on a range of topics relevant to youth all the way to senior adults.
  • Acts of Prevention TM - Provides an alternative to traditional prevention activities by tapping into the creative arts. Our Acts of Prevention troupe consists of young people delivering positive life messages through the use of dramatic monologues designed to address the most challenging concerns of today's youth.
  • Tree of Hope: Celebrated annually during during Recovery Month celebrated in September, the event features a moving ceremony that recognizes outstanding institutions that are making a real difference in people's lives by supporting recovery.
  • S.T.E.P (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) –This program provides skills training for parents to improve family functioning through improving communication and understanding the rationale behind negative child behaviors.
  • Educational Presentations – Wellspring offers customizable presentations on a variety of topics available in one to two hour formats. Appropriate for community groups, workplace sites and faith-based organizations.
  • Take Control of Your Health - Take Control of Your Health is a fun and practical course that helps people with chronic conditions and/or their caregivers overcome daily challenges and maintain an active and fulfilling life.
  • HealthEASE- HealthEASE targets older adults at all levels of the health spectrum, from those experiencing no health issues to those with multiple chronic diseases and physical limitations.
  • Coalition for Healthy Communities – Wellspring hosts the countywide Coalition for Healthy Communities, which engages volunteers from all sectors of the community to address underage drinking, older adult issues, prescription drugs and opiates, and marijuana.
