Moving On To High School

Research shows that the transition from middle to high school can be a high risk time for youth. When they enter high school, young people face social, psychological, and educational challenges as they prepare for the future, and these challenges can lead to the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. In Moving On to High School, young people discuss what new opportunities and responsibilities to expect in high school; how they deal with peer pressure and risky behavior; why it's important to be true to themselves and their values; who they turn to for help and support; and what causes stress in their lives and what they do about it.
