Pathways' SADD Club Launches Efforts to Reduce Suicide

Pathways' SADD Club members educate students about the 2nd Floor Helpline in an effort to reduce suicide and provide support in times of need. Throughout all lunch periods, 11 SADD Club members plus the Pathways' advisors succeeded in getting 250 students to enter the Helpline number into their phones. Students who didn’t have phones were given Helpline wallet cards. 2nd Floor Helpline is a anonymous/confidential 24/7 hotline for youth and teens to get support and solutions for the problems they face. Wellspring Staff Participates in Bayside Family Success Center Event

The Bayside Family Success Center hosted its first Back to School Fair on August 17th. In an effort to support parents, the Center reached out to our partners for school supplies, book bags, marketing support and of course information of available programming that could best support our families throughout the school year. The purpose of the event was not only to provide information of supportive programs throughout Middlesex County but also to really gauge the interest and needs of families with school aged children. The goal was to reach 40 families that reside in or around the Perth Amboy area. The Center featured tables of information from partners such as Wellspring Center for Prevention, Middlesex County Council for Young Children, Acelero and Wellcare.
