The anxiety, stress, and social isolation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic may exacerbate symptoms of addiction and mental illness. Every effort should be made to ensure that patients with addiction can initiate and maintain treatment in a timely manner. These materials seek to provide guidance to addiction treatment providers to support continued access to care for alcohol use disorder (AUD) and alcohol withdrawal management (AWM) during the COVID-19 pandemic.
