Ethics and Legal Issues for Prevention Specialist (P602)

At the end of this course, the student should be able to not only understand the legal, professional, and ethical standards that apply to prevention specialists, but also how that impacts their day to day work. They will learn about the laws relating to confidentiality (42CFR PART 2) and the importance of compliance. The Certification Board Code of Ethics will be reviewed and participants will understand reporting responsibilities.

Please note: This class will be delivered virtually OVER TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS.
You must attend BOTH (12/3/2020 AND 12/4/2020) classes in order to receive a certificate.

  •  All classes will be held at virtually via Zoom. Attendance log-in information will be shared with those who signed up for the class, in advance.
  • All classes start promptly at 10AM.

    Wellspring's courses have been approved for six initial and renewal hours toward CEU's needed for the CPS, MFT, MFT-Permit, LPC, LAC, and LRC credentials, as well as re-certification hours for all credentials issued by the Addictions Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey (APCBNJ) (Provider #208).
