Treatment planning is the process by which the counselor and client identify and rank problems needing resolution, establish agreed upon immediate and long term goals and decide upon a treatment process and the resources to be utilized (ICRC). Treatment planning is a collaborative process where in partnership with the client and family, client’s goals will be identified and mapped out. In this course Treatment Planning will be defined, case examples will be given, and participants will learn how to help their clients and families create a blueprint collaboratively defining their own goals, in their own language, without the use of jargon. The concepts of the acronym SMART will be taught and how it applies to the treatment planning process.
This class will be delivered via Zoom. Instructions and links will be provided later.
