At the end of this course, the student should be able to: Promote programs, services, and activities, and maintain good public relations; Participate in public awareness campaigns and projects relating to health promotion across the continuum of care; Prepare various media packages and distribute to media outlets; Establish positive working relationships with the media to promote prevention efforts; and, Coordinate planning and implementation of special events. Three (3) CPS CEUs awarded for this class.

The Wellness Center for Prevention has instituted a new "No Show" policy that will result in a $15 fee assessed to any individual who fails to show up for a class or event held at or by the agency for which a fee is required. Individuals who cancel their appointments at least 24 hours in advance will not be charged a fee.
