This training will attempt to clarify what Addiction Recovery entails as a process of change that goes beyond abstinence to improved health and wellness as well as quality of life. We will explore the individual person’s right to build a meaningful life for themselves. We will look at the "whole person" (mind, body and spirit) both prior to recovery and when in recovery. Twelve step philosophies will be examined as will what it mean to be “in recovery, achieve recovery and remain in recovery”?
