On Wednesday April 13th students were invited to PATHWAYS to learn how they could have a rewarding career as a yoga instructor. We welcomed representative, Munah Hayes from Ramapo College / Zufall Health; who was vibrant and provided tremendous insight on Yoga, its origin and its relevance today. It was great to see students as well as teachers and school administrators take an active part in this presentation.
When asked how she felt about the presentation, student Taahirah Walker remarked “Munah Hayes was such an amazing speaker today. She explained to us the Yoga history and how it came to be so widespread throughout the states. Yoga, in Sanskrit, mean “YOLK or UNION” and I truly believe that if we all work together as one, the world would be so peaceful and kind. No matter if we are a human, creature, insect or any living being; we are all the same. Non-violence towards all living things (Ahimsa) is one thing we can all practice and Yoga can teach us.”
What’s Next continues to offer insightful programs / career options for students who perhaps have not made a decision as to what they would like to do after graduation. In the past weeks some of our guest representatives have included; Eagle Aviation Academy, (AIMS) American Institute of Medical Science and Education, United State Army.
